On the 2nd Saturday in August, from 9am – 8pm, Central New York hosts a Highland Games, Pipe Band competition and Celtic ethnic activities at the incredible venue of Long Branch Park on Onondaga Lake in Syracuse. 2025 will be our 82nd running of the games. Our family-friendly GAMES offers a day full of Competitions for: Solo Piping, Drumming & Pipe Bands, Highland Dancing & Heavy Athletics. We also have Children’s Games, entertainment, Celtic themed vendors & food, clans & societies, harpers, Syracuse Irish Session & Massed Bands.

Featured Tartan: Buchanan

For our 81st Games, this year, our featured tartan is the Buchanan tartan. The Buchanan tartan shown on our website is the ancient tartan.

There are now a number of Buchanan tartans of different shades, including the Weathered (Vegetable Dye), Hunting, Ancient and Modern.
